PAYSAGES DÉPLACÉS : QC/NC

“Paysages déplacés” sonde les contrastes et les résonances entre deux territoires, le Québec et la Nouvelle-Calédonie, différemment traversés par une histoire de colonisation, de migrations humaines et d’exploitation des ressources minières. Cete oeuvre audiovisuelle met en jeu nos perceptions et nos capacités d’identification des lieux et des contextes. Au fil des séquences, des diagonales s’entrelacent entre les époques et les géographies, laissant émerger un espace mémoriel aux frontières incertaines.

Two geographic places, Quebec and New Caledonia are related to each other with the help of audiovisual editing. This work explores the depth of two contrasting territories which have both undergone a colonial history. Working out the contrasts and resonances of these two collective histories, this work investigates the identity and memory of places and the likelihood of landscapes which combines elements that do not belong together.
